I moved to San Francisco last year to escape the cruel winters of Minnesota and work in partnerships for an educational technology company. Before that, it was Minneapolis, to learn the makings of cocktails; before that, France, to eat goat cheese and pastry and do media work in higher ed; before that, Iowa, to debate literature and politics in bad bars and pace holes in newsroom carpets.
